This Halloween, cross into the Grotto—a shadowy world where innocence and nightmares collide. Inside, your deepest childhood memories twist into something darker, more menacing. What was once joyful becomes unnervingly sinister, forcing you to confront your inner fears.
Not everything is as it seems, as the veil between what is real and make believe gets thinner...

Over 30 minutes audiences are invited to enter the Grotto, to work together to confront childhood horrors.

Q: What can I expect?
A: Interactive horror theatre.
The actors may touch you. Sound, smells, light, and contact will be employed throughout. It will be loud, it will be intense, it will not be for everyone.
Q: Is there any leeway with the age limit?
A: No.
The event is 16+ only.
Q: Trigger warnings?
A: Numerous.
Claustrophobia, anxiety, mysophobia, wasps. Horrible stuff, plus it's also very dark in the Grotto.
Q: Refunds/cancellations?
A: Sadly we do not offer any refunds. If you can't make your time slot please email us ASAP and we will try to amend... but no promises.
Q: Can I book on the door?
A: Absolutely. Please turn up and we will try to accommodate you.

Q: No admittence?
A: Scarehand refuses the right to admit any persons they deem under the influence of drink or drugs with no refund.
Q: Food and drink?
A: There is to be no food or drink consumed inside the Grotto or down the alleyway.
Q: Is Make Believe suitable if I'm pregnant?
Due to the nature of the event we do not recommend attending if pregnant. Please contact us for further information.
Q: Access?
The Grotto does have disabled access. Please note this experience contains flashing lights and is highly stimulating. It may not be suitable for certain conditions. Please contact us for further information.
Q: Latecomers?
A: Due to the nature of the experience latecomers will not be admitted.
Please arrive 15 mins before your time slot to check in and be briefed.
Q: Halloween goody bags?
A: Correct! First 100 tickets get's a Scarehand Halloween goody bag.
Q: Can I come in fancy dress?
Yes! Though make sure you can move about comfortably in your cape/bandages/dead nun outfit.
